    Getting Online with PLC & HMI

    • Learning Objectives:
      • Master connecting and interfacing with PLC and HMI systems.
      • Differentiate between uploading and downloading processes.
      • Acquire skills in converting and editing HMI programs.
    • Tests: 
      • Connect to a PLC and perform both an upload and download, explaining each step.
      • Convert an existing HMI program and make a minor edit, demonstrating the process.

    Understanding Data Types & Ladder Logic Basics

    • Learning Objectives:
      • Identify and understand various data types.
      • Apply basic programming logic using emulators.
    • Tests: 
      • Identify and explain five different data types in a sample ladder logic program.
      • Create a simple ladder logic program using at least three different data types.

    Creating HMI Displays & SCADA

    • Learning Objectives: 
      • Develop skills in creating and understanding graphic objects for HMI displays.
      • Implement data trending, logging, and report generation.
    • Tests: 
      • Design a basic HMI display incorporating graphic objects and PLC tags.
      • Generate a simple report based on data trends from a SCADA system.

    Identify & Understand Electrical Hardware

    • Learning Objectives: 
      • Accurately identify common electrical hardware.
      • Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware issues.
    • Tests: 
      • Identify and describe the function of five pieces of common electrical hardware.
      • Troubleshoot a simulated hardware issue, documenting the diagnosis process.
